Pass Plus was started as a well intentioned government scheme to encourage new drivers to take further training after they pass their tests to improve road safety. The carrot was some insurance companies offering a small discount. These days there are very few insurance companies offering the discount and you’ll probably find cheaper quotes from other insurance companies who do not participate in Pass Plus.
If you only wanted to do a Pass Plus course for cheaper insurance then I wouldn’t bother. However if you wanted to take the course to make you a better driver then please read on….
The Pass Plus course comprises of 6 modules and at least an hour must be spent on each:
- Motorways
- Dual Carriageways
- Urban Driving
- Rural roads
- Night Driving
- All-Weather driving
It really depends what you were looking to achieve when you searched for Pass Plus. Unless you are really keen to get that Pass Plus certificate in your hand or on your wall, you may be better off just having session(s) with me on the areas you’d like to improve on, whether that’s motorways, large roundabouts, following a satnav or reverse parking etc.
