Every driving instructor in Britain is individually tested, qualified, licenced, enhanced criminal record checked, regulated by and registered with a government body called the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency), not by any driving school. The DVSA also conduct all practical driving tests for every licensed vehicle category.

Driving schools themselves are completely unregulated. It may surprise you to hear that RED, BSM, The AA, Bill Plant etc. just act as booking agents for driving instructors who are self-employed.

The best way to choose a driving instructor is by their personal reputation and reviews.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
To avoid being charged for late cancellation you must give more than 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule part or all of a driving lesson. With less than 48 hours notice you do not have the option to reschedule and if you cancel part or all of the driving lesson you will be liable to pay 100% of the lesson fee.
